Ein scheinbar unschuldiges N64 Game wie Cooking mama gepaart mit Animal Crossing möchte stupide Tasks in einer vor süße triefenden Welt, aber eben dieses Mysterium der alten Spiele-Generationen welche verflucht oder individuell sein können, dadurch dass es diverse Vorbesitzer hatte oder Korrumpiert wurde. Diese Legenden wie Ben drowned begleiten mich schon mein Leben lang und haben einen ganz klaren Bezug zu den Nintendo Konsolen. Es hatte einfach etwas unheimliches Glitches gegenüber zu stehen oder in "fremden nicht geplanten Welten" durch zu glitches zu wandern. Das wird hier finde ich sehr gut aufgegriffen und sowohl die Fassade als auch die Eskalation des Spiels haben mir Spaß gemacht :)
Das Ende hätte man evtl. noch spannender machen können, aber sonst eine verdammt gute runde Sache!
My partner and I gave this a go and honestly, we were very much in awe of it. It nailed the retro aesthetic very well but most importantly, it did it whilst still being a fun, cute and engaging experience. I really appreciated the detail of him whistling the tune! (:
Obviously it gets a lil more spooky towards the end and I think its done pretty well, tho I have to ask - would you be interested in making a more full fledged game like this without the spooks? Or incorporates the spooks in a way that's part of the bigger gameplay? I've played and enjoyed a lot of these 'its like x but spooky' type games and they're great but yours made me realise...I think I'd genuinely just enjoy a game like this.
I guess I just want more cosy, easy going, engaging cooking games that have an animal crossing esque social sim aspect :')
Anyways, it's great as is and I'm surprised it took me so long to hear about it! I hope you go on to make more gems like this one. I'll definitely keep an eye out for your future works 😊

hello! i got a strange but creepy glitch or bug on this game where if i open in it i just end up in a void, last time i played i was at the part where i was supposed to find hoppers grandpa is there a way i can fix this?
I really liked this game for the most part. I really liked how it looked like an old N64 game! One thing I didn't like was that when you were looking for onions outside of the village, the 'monster' would just camp outside of whatever hole you hid in. So the second you pop out to continue your search, it gets you and you die. Thankfully it didn't make you start all the way from zero onions again but it was annoying having to spend over an hour on one part of a short game. -

Just had another issue. So I took the scooter over to the hole in the wall behind hoppers house at night on my way to look for the onions. I tried to drive it through the hole into the dark area but the scooter vanished from under me. I looked around for it and it was right where the wall was, like glitched into the wall. I went and found the ok onions then tried to get on it to ride it out and there's no way to get on it. You either just walk right back into the dark area, or back out into the village. So I stead of wasting more time I just walked home and then returned when it was light out. Now even though the guard is there, I we as still able to click to ride the scooter but as soon as I did it took me into the dark again and said I was there to get mushrooms. I'm like what? Since when an I looking for mushrooms? When I tried to exit it won't let me because 'I still have to find 4 mushrooms!' But since I never went through the part of the game explaining the mushrooms or where to get them, there are not any. They never spawned because I never had the text about them. But I can't leave until I find then and I can't find them because they were never there lol
It really is a cute, fun, and even scary game if you don't break it by doing something stupid. Play it!- just don't drive your hamster scooter into the dark forest. It will cause too many problems and you'll have to start all over again. Was my 4th time resetting the game.
It's pretty cool! I think you should make the non-spooky part a full game AND add in the spooky part too! Although, the ending scare was a bit flat imo. If you spun the "thing" into a Paranormal situation, I'm sure it'd be be a bit scarier!
Game play was great. I enjoyed it alot. Unfortunately for me, I think I may have broken the game and was unable to finish. However, it was still a great play!
What a great game!! I LOVE the N64 style horror! It was simple yet creepy and I liked the atmosphere of how eerie these older games can be. The art style is really cute! (and creepy)
I downloaded and played with the assumption that this was either a happy tree friends sort of game where it looks all cute and cuddly only for it to be a grim twist or that for whatever reason the MC was a murderer or something. With that being said I enjoyed it and was scared to death during certain...parts.
If you are using a controller, you can adjust the camera angle with the right control stick. If you are using keyboard and mouse, you adjust the camera angle with the mouse.

This is great! But it seems really easy to get stuck if you don't take the carrots and potatoes along with the mushrooms
